From Metal Headboard to Garden Trellis

Remember I showed you this picture in an older post.  I had just purchased it from an "along the side of the road" sale.  I promised to show it again later.  And now, here it is with it's new look and in place in my garden.  I am pleased with the way it turned out and I'm so glad I stopped that day.

You will see it is now black. I spray painted it to blend in with other black features in the garden like the black arbor in the background here.  It looks to be standing a little bit too alone where it is now but we know that can change, don't we, as other things get added!

Looking through it to my sidewalk and side street. The features show up better now that it is black.

I planted it where some clerodendrum was already growing and needed something to twine around.

I also moved a couple of pots to keep it company.

It really is just a few steps down the path from this arbor.  And, speaking of steps,  next week I will be renewing the path with new mini-pine bark.  I know it would have made more sense to wait until after that to make these pictures but, I seldom do things in the best order!

While we are near the arbor I want to show off its features.

You will be seeing this area again after I decorate for Christmas.  It is a good place to add just a touch of christmas colors.

Looking back through the arbor and across the front of the house.

These things are also just a bit farther through the arbor from the trellis.  Looks like I need to trim a big leaf so the fountain can be seen!  I think this philodendron would eat up my whole corner if it were allowed to keep growing untrimmed!

Thank you for taking the little tour of my front corner.  As time goes on you will see more and more of the yard.
